Lord Monckton regarding the United Nations climate change treaty Lord Monckton Warns of Global Climate Change Treaty Loss of US Soverignty Looms Christopher Lord Monckton is an odd person to be a champion of human freedom. While Lord Monckton was Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's science advisor, he is a hereditary peer of Great Britain. It is odder still that Lord Monckton should be in the United States, warning of the potential loss of liberty that would be involved in the Global Climate Change Treaty now being negotiated in Copenhagen, due to be signed in December. And yet Lord Monckton did just that, speaking at length and in scathing tones at an event held by the Minnesota Free Market Institute at Bethel University in St. Paul. Last Wednesday in St. Paul, Minnesota, during a pretension at Bethel University: A portion of remarks made by Lord Christopher Monckton regarding the United Nations climate change treaty. MONCKTON: I have read that treaty. And what it says is this: That a world government is going to be created. The word "government" actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity. The second purpose is the transfer of wealth from the countries of the West to Third World countries, in satisfaction of what is called, coyly, "a climate debt," because we have been burning CO2 and they haven't and we've been screwing up the climate. We haven't been screwing up the climate, but that's the line. And the third purpose of this new entity, this government is "enforcement." MONCKTON: How many of you think that the word "election" or "democracy" or "vote" or "ballot" occurs anywhere in the 200 pages of that treaty? Quite right! It doesn't appear once. So at last the communists who piled out of the Berlin Wall and into the environmental movement and took over Greenpeace so that my friends who funded it left within a year because they'd captured it. Now the apotheosis is at hand. They are about to impose a communist world government on the world. You have a president who has very strong sympathies with that point of view. He's going to sign. He'll sign anything. He's a Nobel peace laureate. Of course he'll sign it! MONCKTON: So, thank you, America. You were the beacon of freedom to the world. It is a privilege merely to stand on this soil of freedom while it is still free. But in the next few weeks, unless you stop it, your president will sign your freedom, your democracy, and your prosperity away forever -- and neither you nor any subsequent government you may elect would have any power whatsoever to take it back again. That is how serious it is. Lord Christopher Monckton -- who has repeatedly asked, by the way, to debate Algore on the whole subject, and Algore refuses. Algore won't even take questions about it. "Never, ever, ever get it back," because did you hear the first bite? He said regardless who we elect in the future, "You'll never, ever get it back." Because if the climate treaty is passed, we'll be living under a world government, and the idea is a transfer of wealth from countries like ours to the Third World to make even how we have polluted the planet all these years and they haven't.

Our only hope is, when Obama signes on to this treaty, is our senate. Obama can go around the world and sign on to all the treaties he wants. But until the senate ratifies them they are unaffective. But make no mistake Obama will sign this treaty. He most cetainly wants to turn this country into a third world nation. He truley believes we are the cause of the worlds problems.

Woody, you are correct, he'll sign it, & definitely wants to trash the U.S. I hate to rely on the senate. Plus, a couple of weeks ago, I saw some 'authority' state that in recent years our gov't has been treating & adhering to signed treaties as if they'd been ratidied!!! I was totally appalled.
