All Illinois gun owners are invited to join in Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day (IGOLD) in Springfield in 2010. This is an annual event where everyone goes to lobby` their representatives in the Illinois House and Senate. The ISRA is partnering with local and internet organizations in Illinois to increase attendance and make a bigger & better impression in Springfield. The other participating organizations are Illinois Carry and Champaign County Rifle Assoc. Get your local organization involved as well!

We will meet at the Prairie Capitol Convention Center - Doors open at 10:45 with the program set to begin at 11:45 am. We will have a legislative briefing, then we will all march to the Capitol Building to locate and talk with our representatives.

The Central IL 9/12 Project Group's John Adams Committee (the same small group that sponsored the in absentia town hall meeting) is proud to announce that it will be sponsoring a one-day seminar presented by the National Center for Constitutional Studies on March 20, 2010. A representative from the National Center for Constitutional Studies will be presenting this day-long seminar to be held in Springfield at the Route 66 Hotel and Conference Center.

The fee of $30 will include registration for the seminar, lunch, and a 135-page study guide. Prospective attendees can mail their check for $30 made out to the committee leaders, Ron and Sherry Tallon, 2817 Findley Drive, Springfield, Illinois 62704.

Special room rates at the Route 66 Hotel and Conference Center will be available for those who may be traveling from out of town. If you wish to take advantage of these special rates, please let the hotel staff know that you are attending this Central Illinois 9/12 Project seminar when you call to make your reservations.

Please note that at least 50 people MUST register by November 30th in order for this seminar to be held. Space will be limited to the first 125 people who register for the event. Due to the fact that registration fees received will be used to secure travel funds needed by the NCCS presenter, refunds cannot be made once your payment has been sent.

On August 28, 2010 come be a part of history by joining Glenn at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial for the Restoring Honor Rally. This is a non-political fundraiser for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. This non-profit provides support and assistance to the families of wounded and fallen special operations personnel. This includes 60,000 of America's elite troops such as Navy SEALs, Army Green Berets and Rangers, Air force combat controllers and Marine Corps special operators.

FREEDOM WORKS TO HOST 2010 TAX DAY TEA PARTY IN WASHINGTON, DC

Activists from the Washington area invited to protest outside the White House on April 15th
FreedomWorks has agreed to host the 2010 Tax Day Tea Party for Washington, DC. On Tax Day, April 15th, hundreds of thousands of Americans will protest big government around the country.

They will protest in big cities and small towns, from Los Angeles, California to Burlington, North Carolina. FreedomWorks will be hosting the DC Tax Day Tea Party, at The Ellipse, just outside President Barack Obama's bedroom window.

As we put together the details of the event, check back here for updates if you are planning to attend. Just so you know, we are planning to have an evening event with speakers, music and lots of rowdy protesters.
