GLENN BECK'S RESTORING HONOR 8-28-2010

On August 28, 2010 come be a part of history by joining Glenn at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial for the Restoring Honor Rally. This is a non-political fundraiser for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. This non-profit provides support and assistance to the families of wounded and fallen special operations personnel. This includes 60,000 of America's elite troops such as Navy SEALs, Army Green Berets and Rangers, Air force combat controllers and Marine Corps special operators.

Cook County Bus Trip Information

Last week, I sent an email to the Illinois tea party, 912 and patriot groups asking for information about bus trips to the 8/28 and 9/12 events in Washington, DC.

On 8/28, the main rally will be in Washington, DC. However, on 9/12 there will likely be a three big rallies in Washington DC, St. Louis, MO and Sacramento, CA. That means that your Illinois group members may want to go to St. Louis on 9/12, rather than DC. Perhaps your local group could plan a bus trip or van caravan to the St. Louis event.

You may forward this email to others. Please let them know that the information is subject to change. In addition, let them know that the bus trips will not be possible unless there are sufficient people who sign up to ride the bus.

Please continue to send me updates about bus trips and other local people who are coordinating rides and hotel rooms. I will send an update email to everyone as new information is available.

Frank attended the 9/12 event in Washington last year. For this year’s 9/12 event he reserved rooms at a hotel that is walking distance to the mall. That way, he knows he can get to the event if the metro trains are delayed (as they were last year). He has extra rooms that you can use. The hotel rooms sleep 4 people and the costs is $169/room. He may also be able to coordinate car rides, but he is not arranging a bus.

Since there are 2 options for the bus....The trip will require 2 drivers - driving time 10 hours for each driver or 550 miles before taking a DOT mandated 8 hours off duty.
If people choose to stay over there is an additional charge for the 2 hotel rooms required for the bus drivers.

Total bus capacity 55 passengers - Each bus has restrooms, reclining seats, tinted windows with shades, DVD players and TV monitors on board

A - round trip arrive 2 hours before the rally and return to Illinois 15 hours each way Ticket Price $87.50 per person

B - round trip - with overnight stay - $92 per person - plus the cost of 2 hotel rooms for the drivers....arriving on the day of the rally and returning the following day.

Final reservations:
August 28th Event - All reservations in by August 16th
September 12th Event - all reservations in by August 31st
